Ronan-Pablo Fall Hunters Education Class Announced

Registration for the Ronan-Pablo Fall Hunter Education course will be Friday, Aug. 16, in Room 116 of the Beaverhead Math & Science building on the Salish Kootenai College campus in Pablo.

Registration begins at 7 p.m. A parent or guardian must accompany students under 18 to register.

Only individuals 11 years of age or older at the day of sign-up may be certified upon successfully completing the course.

Volunteer instructors will teach the education course that runs Aug. 20-22. Classes will be from 7 to 9 p.m. each evening. A mandatory field course is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 23. The review and test will be administered Monday, Aug. 26 from 6 to 9 p.m.

All hunter education classes are free of charge and open to hunters and non-hunters alike. Some students take the courses for the firearm safety and outdoor survival information, even if they don’t plan to hunt.
