By Beacon Staff

A Northwestern Montana woman who had been the subject of a missing and endangered persons’ alert has been found in Portland, Ore., along with a man suspected of committing a violent crime against her.

Police in Troy issued the alert for 36-year-old Sandra Laffoon last Friday.

In late August, Laffoon reported that 36-year-old Dan Savage Jr., had committed a violent act against her. He fled the scene and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Both were reported missing on Sept. 2.

Police say Laffoon and Savage were located in Portland, Ore., on Monday. Laffoon was found safe and Savage was arrested.
