Big Sky Honors Athletes from PSU, NAU, Montana

HELENA — The Big Sky Conference is honoring athletes from Portland State, Northern Arizona and Montana as its football players of the week.

Portland State running back D.J. Adams was named the offensive player of the week after rushing for 208 yards and two touchdowns in the Vikings’ 41-14 win over UC Davis.

NAU cornerback Anders Battle won defensive honors after returning an interception 49 yards for a touchdown in the Lumberjacks’ 22-16 win over South Dakota. He added three tackles and three pass break ups.

Montana kicker Ben Worst earned special teams honors. The freshman from Twin Falls, Idaho, made three field goals and two extra points in his first collegiate game, a 47-14 win over Oklahoma Panhandle State. Worst kicked a 50-yard field goal and two from 41 yards.
