The University of Montana football team has moved up to seventh in this week’s coaches’ and media polls ranking the FCS football teams.
The Grizzlies improved to 3-0 with a 47-14 win over Oklahoma Panhandle State on Saturday.
Montana State fell from its second- and third-rankings to 10th in the coaches’ poll and 11th in The Sports Network poll after a 52-38 loss at Stephen F. Austin. The Bobcats have a 2-2 record.
Montana plays at Northern Arizona on Saturday. The Lumberjacks are ranked 22nd by the coaches and 24th in The Sports Network poll.
MSU is at North Dakota, a team the Grizzlies beat 55-17 on Sept. 14.
Another Big Sky Conference team, Eastern Washington, is ranked second in The Sports Network poll and third in the coaches’ poll.
