Camouflaged Thief

7:43 a.m. A man called from a train to report that his ex-girlfriend sent him a text message claiming that she was in his home and had crawled in through the doggie door. A deputy removed the woman from the house.

9:42 a.m. A woman reported that her purse had been stolen from her unlocked vehicle sometime during the night.

11:01 a.m. A bow was stolen out of an unlocked vehicle parked in front of a Somers bar.

12:00 p.m. Someone spray painted a mailbox in Bigfork.

12:34 p.m. A Lakeside woman reported that someone took some money and a few air fresheners out of her car.

3:04 p.m. A woman on Sherry Lane reported that someone ran over her tree.

3:52 p.m. An employee of a Columbia Falls store reported that a woman threw things and complained that someone stole her wallet. She then picked up what she had thrown and “stormed out” without paying.

5:51 p.m. An Evergreen woman reported that a pack of drunken transients harassed her when she walked by their camp on the river.

6:00 p.m. A camouflaged woman escaped Wal-Mart after consuming food in the store and stuffing stolen clothes into her purse.

7:01 p.m. Someone in Evergreen called 911 to report that four teenaged boys were standing next to a fire hydrant with cans of spray paint. A deputy found four Eagle Scouts preparing to touch up local fire hydrants.

8:01 p.m. People were seen hitting rocks with a baseball bat on FFA drive.

8:19 p.m. A cow was on the bike path on Highway 93 South.

12:23 a.m. A man on Highway 35 in Kalispell reported that his girlfriend, who was “wired,” took his house keys and ran off. He then said that if anyone needed him, he was going out for a beer.
