Early Season Snow Covers Logan Pass

By Beacon Staff

Even if the federal government were not about to shut down, you would have a hard time reaching Logan Pass on Tuesday morning. And frankly, you probably wouldn’t even want to.

Glacier National Park sent out a photo out Monday afternoon showing 8 inches of snow covering the Logan Pass parking lot. Weather conditions along the higher reaches of the Going-to-the-Sun Road have included slush, ice and snow. Park officials also reported wind gusts of 30 to 40 miles per hour at Big Bend. The Sun Road is currently closed passed The Loop on the west side of the park.

But we think this photo speaks for itself.
