Teen Dies in Rollover Crash Near Browning

BROWNING – A car went off U.S. Highway 89 near Browning, was airborne for more than 100 feet and then rolled 2.5 times, killing a 16-year-old boy and injuring three other passengers.

The Montana Highway Patrol says the 16-year-old boy who was driving was not injured, but was arrested on charges related to the crash.

The Great Falls Tribune reports the crash at 5:45 a.m. Sunday injured a 25-year-old woman, and two other boys, ages 16 and 15. They were taken to Indian Health Service Hospital in Browning.

The patrol says speed and alcohol were factors in the fatal rollover.

The victim’s name hasn’t been released.
