The Flathead Beacon recently purchased Flathead Living magazine and the first edition under new ownership is on newsstands throughout the valley. The quarterly outdoors and lifestyle publication is free.
Many of the same writers and photographers will continue to contribute to the magazine, while several others have joined the team. Myers Reece, an accomplished reporter who helped found the Beacon and previously wrote for the newspaper as senior writer, was named contributing editor at Flathead Living. Lido Vizzutti, another Beacon alumnus who was lured away by freelance opportunities, will shoot photographs for the publication.
“We want to build upon the quality product already established by Clint and Alisha Walker,” said Beacon and Flathead Living editor in chief Kellyn Brown.
“You’ll notice some small changes in the first edition under our new ownership. We worked to refine the design, led by talented Art Director Steve Larson. You’ll notice bigger changes in the months ahead, including the redesigning of flatheadliving.com.”
