Carroll Football Players Honored by Frontier

WHITEFISH — Three Carroll College football players have been honored by the Frontier Conference for their efforts in the Saints’ 42-7 win over Dickinson State on Saturday.

Quarterback Dakota Stonehouse was named the league’s offensive player of the week. The senior from Glenwood Springs, Colo., passed for 154 yards and a career-best four touchdowns and added 91 yards rushing.

Junior linebacker Sean Blomquist of Helena earned defensive honors. Blomquist had three solo tackles, four assisted tackles, four tackles for a loss, two quarterback hurries and a fumble recovery. He also caught an 18-yard touchdown pass.

Junior Colter Rood of Green River, Wyo., received special teams honors. He had two unassisted tackles on kickoff coverage and one on punt coverage.

Carroll and Dickinson were the only conference football teams in action last weekend.
