Glacier Bumps Up to Second in Football Rankings

The Wolfpack jumped into the No. 2 spot in the Class AA football rankings, while undefeated Columbia Falls and Bigfork held their ground in their respective Class A and B ranks.

Glacier (6-1) ranks behind only Bozeman (7-0) in the latest Associated Press high school football poll, released Wednesday. The Wolfpack take on third-ranked Helena Capital (6-1) at Legends Stadium this Friday night.

Despite being flawless through six games, Columbia Falls ranks third in Class A behind No. 1 Dillon (6-0) and defending state champs Billings Central (5-1).

Bigfork is among the top three undefeated teams in Class B. The Vikings (6-0) remain third in the latest poll behind defending state champion and No. 1 Missoula Loyola. Baker (6-0) is second.

With the season down to the final weeks, teams are jockeying for playoff positioning.
