LETTER: Remember the Shutdown in 2014

I really don’t care what party you claim to belong. Have you seen the latest news as to what has happened because of the government shutdown?

If I recall correctly when the Republicans were running for seats in the House, their main cry was jobs, jobs and jobs. I didn’t know they were going to cause more people to lose their jobs? From what I read they have caused the temporary loss of 800,000 jobs.

I really think it’s about time we in Lincoln County ask the question: What have the Republican Party, Tea Party and whatever other rightwing parties done for Lincoln County?

There are about 12 empty businesses on Mineral Avenue and two of our main restaurants are for sale.

When the elections are held in November 2014, let’s all remember this shutdown!
