OGDEN, Utah — DeNarius McGhee fired three touchdown passes to lift Montana State to a Big Sky Conference road victory Saturday, stopping Weber State 34-16.

McGhee opened the scoring with a 35-yard strike to Jon Ellis and added another 35-yard score, this time to Brian Flotkoetter, to give Montana State a 19-10 halftime lead.

Austin Chipoletti scored from a yard out to make it 19-16, but Weber State’s point after attempt was blocked and Steven Bethley returned the ball for a two-point defensive conversion that bumped the Montana State’s lead to 21-16.

Shawn Johnson ran 9 yards for a touchdown and McGhee added a 26-yard touchdown pass to Ellis to complete the scoring.

McGhee was 20 of 29 for 313 yards to go with his three touchdowns for the Bobcats (5-2, 3-0 Big Sky).
