Class AA soccer teams are battling for state tournament bids this week.
The Flathead girls (7-4-1) finished second in the Western AA regular-season standings and host Missoula Big Sky (2-7-3) at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24.
The Glacier girls (5-7) host Helena Capital (3-7-2) on Thursday, also at 4 p.m. at the school’s fields.
The winners of each playoff game advance to the state tournament in Helena, Oct. 31-Nov. 2. Helena (10-1-1) clinched the Western AA conference title and earned an automatic bid.
The Glacier boys (0-11-1) travel to Missoula to play Big Sky (9-1-2) on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 4 p.m.
The Flathead boys (1-9-2) travel to Helena (7-3-2) to play the Bengals at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24. Helena Capital (6-6) plays Missoula Sentinel (2-6-3) on Thursday in the other Western AA match.
Missoula Hellgate (10-0-2) won the conference and clinched an automatic bid to state.
