Livingston Stuns Whitefish in Soccer Playoffs

Four goals in the second half and a stingy defense doomed the Bulldogs’ three-peat.

Livingston eliminated the two-time defending state champs, defeating the Whitefish boys soccer team 4-0 on Saturday at Smith Fields in the opening round of the Class A playoffs.

The Bulldogs’ season ended with a 9-2-2 record. Livingston advanced to the semifinals against Belgrade, which defeated Hamilton 3-0 in the opener.

Stevensville eliminated Libby 3-1 and Billings Central defeated Bigfork 4-0 in the other state openers.
