Two Arrested after Polson Shooting

By Beacon Staff

POLSON — Two people were arrested after a Polson woman was shot over the weekend.

Polson Police Chief Wade Nash says officers were responding to a report of a domestic disturbance at about 10:30 a.m. Sunday when they found the injured woman lying outside an apartment complex.

She was taken to the hospital and police evacuated surrounding apartments before contacting the suspects. Officers arrested 35-year-old Michael James Gardipe on suspicion of assault with a weapon and arrested 34-year-old Alisha McDanal of Polson on suspicion of intimidation.

Nash tells KERR-AM that 29-year-old Veronica Partida of Polson suffered a serious, but non-life-threatening injury to her leg. She was being treated at a Missoula hospital.

The case is still under investigation.
