Tristan Walker caught a pair of touchdown passes, including the game-winner with 2:21 remaining, to lead fourth-ranked Belgrade to a 27-20 quarterfinal victory against Whitefish in the quarterfinal round of the Class A playoffs.
Walker finished with a season-high 194 yards and had touchdown catches of 13 and 33 yards as the Panthers rallied from a 13-7 halftime deficit.
Belgrade advanced to the state and will play top-ranked and unbeaten Dillon on Friday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m.
Whitefish ended an impressive season at 8-3 overall. Sean Foley scored off a 25-yard pass from Luke May and Nathan Boone notched a pair of field goals for the Bulldogs. Chris Park added a 2-yard TD in the third quarter.
