HELENA — The Republican field for the U.S. House race continues to grow.
Drew Turiano of Helena told Lee Newspapers of Montana that he is running for the seat being vacated by Steve Daines, who is running for the U.S. Senate.
Turiano says he considers himself a “Christian Tea Party Conservative Republican.” He ran for secretary of state last year, finishing last in a four-way primary after limited fundraising success.
And former Secretary of State Brad Johnson says he will soon be announcing his candidacy for the U.S. House.
Other announced GOP candidates for the House are state Sen. Matt Rosendale of Glendive, former state Sen. Corey Stapleton of Billings, and former state Sen. Ryan Zinke of Whitefish.
Two Democrats are running, John Lewis of Helena and Melinda Gopher of Missoula.
