Pilot Unharmed in Kalispell Plane Crash

A lightweight experimental plane crashed in Kalispell Tuesday morning after it lost power during takeoff. No one was hurt in the crash.

Pilot Joe Angle was taking off from the Kalispell City Airport when the aircraft lost power. He said he remembers going through the emergency landing protocol before hitting the ground. “In that situation there’s very little time,” Angle said. “You just pick a spot and try to end up there.”

While Angle was unharmed in the crash his plane was heavily damaged.
