Johnson Retires, 41 Years as CMR Football Coach

GREAT FALLS — Longtime Great Falls Russell football coach Jack Johnson is retiring after 41 seasons during which his teams won 340 games.

The school district announced Johnson’s retirement Tuesday.

Johnson’s teams won 13 Class AA state championships, including eight between 1980 and 1992. The Rustlers had seven other runner-up finishes.
