Lanterns glowed in the pre-dawn hours as more than 400 anglers drilled holes through eight inches of ice covering Smith Lake in hopes of reeling in a prize-winning fish. Children tightly grasped their catch as they waited in line to weigh their fish. Fishermen reeled in pike, perch and trout during the 43rd annual Sunriser Lions Club ice fishing derby.
