Hunter Classes Scheduled for Plains, Thompson Falls and Trout Creek

Hunter education classes have been scheduled for Plains, Thompson Falls and Trout Creek, Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks announced. All hunter education classes are free of charge. By state law, anyone born after January 1, 1985, must have completed the Hunter Education Course to buy a hunting license in Montana. To attend class and become certified, students must be at least 11 years old.

All students must register online for the following courses. When registering, students will note specific information and guidelines for the course included in the online posting.

Plains: There will be an orientation class from 6-8:30 p.m. on March 3 at the Plains High School where students will pick up their manuals and get course instructions. Classes will then meet at the high school from 6-8:30 p.m. on March 24-28; field day will be arranged. Contact Wayne Crismore at 826-5139.

Thompson Falls: Classes are held at Thompson Falls High School; first meeting is Monday, March 3, 7-9 p.m. Class schedule will be arranged based on participants’ schedules. Contact Doug Padden, 827-3561.

Trout Creek: First night of class is Monday, March 24, 7-9 p.m. The remainder of the schedule will be arranged that night based on participants’ schedules. Contact Harold Hudson, 827-4010.
