NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Titans have agreed to a one-year deal with wide receiver/kick returner Marc Mariani, who has spent the last two seasons on injured reserve.
Mariani hasn’t played a regular-season game since breaking the tibia and fibula in his left leg during a 2012 exhibition contest. Mariani attempted a comeback last year, but he hurt his shoulder in the preseason and went on injured reserve.
The 26-year-old Mariani made the Pro Bowl as a return specialist in his rookie season of 2010. He has scored on two punt returns and one kickoff return during his career.
Mariani, a former seventh-round draft pick from Montana, has five career receptions for 24 yards. He has averaged 11.2 yards per punt return and 24.8 yards per kickoff return during his career.
