Police Investigating Apparent Murder-Suicide in Kalispell

Police are investigating a potential murder-suicide involving a husband and wife in Kalispell.

Officers received a call at 12:41 a.m. Tuesday from an adult who said his father had just shot his mother and was going to commit suicide.

Officers from the Kalispell Police Department, Flathead County Sheriff’s Office and Montana Highway Patrol arrived on scene and made entry into the house on the northwest end of Kalispell. Authorities discovered two individuals on the floor in one of the bedrooms and both were dead from apparent gunshot wounds, according to the Kalispell Police Department.

KPD is investigating the incident and the Kalispell Major Case Unit is processing the crime scene. The names of the individuals are being withheld pending notification of family and the completion of an investigation.
