HELENA — The Montana Public Service Commission plans to hold 19 listening sessions around the state to gather public comment on NorthWestern Energy’s application to purchase 11 hydroelectric dams from PPL Montana for $900 million.
The sessions start on April 9 in Havre and wrap up May 20 in Helena. Other cities hosting listening sessions include Glasgow, Lewistown, Bozeman, Livingston, Billings, Hardin, Shelby, Butte, Anaconda, Polson, Superior, Missoula, Stevensville, Hamilton, Boulder, Roundup and Great Falls.
The locations for each community are still to be determined.
Both NorthWestern Energy and the Montana Consumer Counsel have been invited to participate in the listening sessions to provide further information.
Anyone who is unable to attend a listening session can also submit questions or comments to the PSC through mail, email, telephone or fax.
