Police Identify Husband, Wife Killed in Kalispell

By Beacon Staff

Authorities have released the names of the husband and wife who were found dead inside their Kalispell home earlier this week.

Kalispell Police Chief Roger Nasset identified Stacy and Dan Fleck as the victims of an apparent murder-suicide at 134 Fly Way off Stillwater Road on Tuesday.

KPD received a call at 12:41 a.m. Tuesday from an adult who said his father had just shot his mother and was going to commit suicide.

Officers from the KPD, Flathead County Sheriff’s Office and Montana Highway Patrol arrived on scene and made entry into the house and discovered two individuals on the floor in one of the bedrooms. Both were dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

Nasset said autopsies are taking place at the State Crime Lab in Missoula and an investigation is ongoing with several pieces of evidence and interviews. To avoid hindering the investigation, Nasset said no further information is being released at this time.
