A fundraiser for the Flathead Rapids soccer organization is this week in Whitefish. The 2014 Meltdown Fundraiser is Thursday, March 27 at the Great Northern Brewing Company in Whitefish. Festivities kick off at 6 p.m. with a DJ, games, raffles and food and drink specials. All proceeds will help offset costs for goals, nets, corner flags, uniforms, referees, player scholarships and equipment for the upcoming spring season.
The Rapids are a valley-wide nonprofit organization that began as an adult men’s soccer team eight years ago and expanded with a women’s team in recent years as well as a robust youth organization.
