Browning-area Man Who Killed Boy While Drunk Driving Cited Again

By Beacon Staff

A Browning-area man who pleaded guilty to backing over and killing a 2-year-old child while driving drunk in 2008 is facing another DUI charge.

The Great Falls Tribune reports David Bear Child was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison after pleading guilty to involuntary manslaughter for the April 2008 death of the child.

Bear Child’s probation was revoked in December 2011 and he was sentenced to nine months in prison for a second DUI.

His probation officer is again seeking to revoke his probation after Bear Child was cited for drunken driving and eluding police on March 22.

Bear Child made an initial appearance before U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert Holter on Monday. A hearing to consider a revocation of his suspended release is set for Thursday.
