Obama Sets Dangerous Precedent

Even staunch supporters of President Barack Obama are at a loss to explain his ill-advised trade of five Taliban generals for one U.S. Army deserter.

Even staunch supporters of President Barack Obama are at a loss to explain his ill-advised trade of five Taliban generals for one U.S. Army deserter. It seems to me this action can only be ascribed to one of two possible reasons: Abysmal ignorance or a deliberate effort to do harm to our nation. I am unable to think of a single action of this man that has not had a deleterious effect for the long-term interests of our country and therefore can only conclude that this latest action is consistent with the latter reason. I have no idea why Obama would want to destroy our nation. I have no idea why the media is giving favorable coverage for his actions, but in concert these elements are doing great damage.

Obama uses the precedent of “leaving no soldier behind” as justification for this trade, but ignores the precedent of never negotiating with terrorists. Now that this Pandora’s box is open, we can expect Americans all over the world to be captured and held for ransom by terrorists.
