Sandwich Song

The sandwich. Don’t you love all the permutations of the word?

By April Vomfell

The sandwich. Don’t you love all the permutations of the word? Sand witch. Earl of Sandwich. Sammich. Urban Dictionary says, “Sandwiches make a good snack, but sammiches are forever.”

People can get very opinionated about their sandwiches. What should and shouldn’t be combined, and in what order. Sheldon Cooper of “The Big Bang Theory” has a whole rant about cheese/bread adjacency and lettuce moisture barriers. Oy.

However. What you really want to know, I’m sure, is which sandwich you should eat today. Or, in online quiz language, what kind of sandwich are you.

Trendy. You love all things new. You are meatball banh mi. You are Havarti grilled cheese with kimchi and Sriracha. You are so trendy I don’t even know what to call you.

Classic. You know when you’ve got a good thing. You are BLT. You are French dip. You are Reuben. You are warm and hearty and worth hanging on to.

Healthy. You try to be kind to your body and the earth. You are avocado, sprouts and hummus on whole grain. You are homegrown vegetables and farm fresh eggs. You are light yet delicious.

Wacky. You aren’t afraid to be different. You are jalapenos and onion rings. You are huckleberry grilled cheese. You are sardines and hot sauce. You are brave and a little crazy.
