MISSOULA — A 53-year-old Ronan man has denied charges that he shot and killed his younger brother.
The Missoulian reports Harry Lozeau pleaded not guilty Wednesday to deliberate homicide during a hearing in District Court in Polson.
Lozeau is charged with shooting 51-year-old Terry Lozeau in the head with a rifle. Prosecutors allege Terry Lozeau had gone to Harry’s house to confront him about work Harry was supposed to be doing on his pickup truck and how a Social Security payment was spent.
Another brother reported the shooting. Lozeau fled and was arrested at his home three days later.
District Judge James Manley set a Sept. 29 trial date.
