The Swan Ecosystem Center is getting ready for its annual footrace and mountain bike race on Saturday, June 28. The event is a fundraiser for the non-profit organization that seeks to help conserve the dramatic Swan Valley and Mission Mountain landscape. The organization has a partnership with the U.S. Forest Service to run a small office and visitors center at the Condon Work Center. The race and other fundraisers help support the maintenance of 98 miles of recreational trail in the area.

The footrace is in its 12th year and starts at 9 a.m. It features a half marathon, a 10K, 5K, 5K walk and a 1-mile fun run. The annual bike race starts at 11 a.m. and there are 13 and 34-mile routes. The event takes place across from the Swan Ecosystem Center at Falls Creek Road and Highway 83 in Condon. For more information visit www.swanecosystemcenter.org.
