MISSOULA — A 26-year-old Arlee man is dead and his 47-year-old mother was critically injured in a rollover crash west of Arlee.

The Montana Highway Patrol says the two were in a pickup truck traveling westbound at around noon Saturday when the driver lost control of the vehicle. It drifted off the side of the road and the driver overcorrected. The pickup spun into the ditch and flipped over.

The man died at the scene, while his mother was flown to a Missoula hospital. Neither was wearing a seatbelt and both were thrown from the vehicle.

It is not known who was driving.

The Missoulian reports Foster Funeral Home and Crematory in St. Ignatius released a death notice for 26-year-old Dakota Lafley, who died in an auto accident on Saturday.
