MISSOULA — Montana football coach Mick Delaney says senior quarterback Jordan Johnson will not play Saturday after suffering a concussion in last week’s game at Wyoming.

The Missoulian reports senior Shay Smithwick-Hann will start for the fourth-ranked Grizzlies against NCAA Division II Central Washington.

Delaney says Johnson is going to be fine, but is being held out of the game as a precaution. Montana lost to Wyoming 17-12.

Smithwick-Hann has passed for 1,027 career yards and 10 touchdowns. Last season he saw limited action, playing in eight games. He rushed five times for 64 yards and two touchdowns. He graduated from Glacier High School in 2010.
