Crews working on U.S. Highway 93 struck a water line and broke it Tuesday, leading to a power outage at Grouse Mountain Lodge and delaying traffic west of Whitefish.
Schellinger Construction crews hit a water line not located on the current utility mapping. Grouse Mountain Lodge was experiencing a water outage and crews were working to build a new water line and restore service by the end of the day, according to administrators.
In order to restore water to those impacted by the break, one-lane traffic is being routed throughout the remainder of the day and possibly through tomorrow.
Schellinger does not anticipate ongoing problems with water line breaks.
