HELENA — The Montana and Montana State football teams take on the top two ranked teams in the Football Championship Subdivision this weekend.

The Grizzlies, ranked fourth in The Sports Network poll and third in the coaches’ poll, travel to Fargo, North Dakota, to take on three-time defending national champion North Dakota State.

Montana State, which is ranked 14th by the media and 16th by the coaches, plays host to second-ranked Eastern Washington in a key nonconference matchup.

There’s also a top 10 matchup in the NAIA involving Montana teams this weekend. Fifth-ranked Rocky Mountain hosts No. 7 Carroll College on Saturday in Billings.
