Olympic gold medalist Joss Christensen is coming to Kalispell to celebrate the 2014 Ski Cruncher at Sportsman & Ski Haus.

Christensen made history last winter when he won the first-ever gold medal for the men’s Olympic slopestyle skiing competition at the Sochi Games. Sponsored by Oakley, the 22-year-old from Salt Lake City is attending the popular event on Saturday, Sept. 20 in Kalispell and will be signing autographs.

The Ski Cruncher is in its 34th year as a storewide sale offering deals on last season’s equipment and new gear. Historically, crowds of people camp out for the event starting the day before. This year Sportsman & Ski Haus in Whitefish will join the excitement and offer gift bags to the first 100 people. The Kalispell store is offering gift bags to the first 300 people. Other large prizes will be given away at both stores, among other contests taking place.

Doors open at 9 a.m. Christensen is slated to sign autographs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Kalispell.
