Secretary of State Linda McCulloch’s recent letter (Sept. 10 Beacon: “Ducking a Debate is Disrespectful”) criticizing Ryan Zinke for allegedly refusing to debate was a blatant and shameless political jab. She knows better than anyone that the “so-called refusal” was the result of the inability of Zinke and John Lewis to find a mutually acceptable time and place because of prior commitments. Certainly an abuse of her office.
