Snowfall Temporarily Closes Upper Stretch of Glacier Park’s Sun Road

Roughly six inches of snow fell in Glacier National Park on Wednesday

The Going-to-the-Sun Road is temporarily closed between Avalanche and St. Mary after roughly six inches of snow fell in Glacier National Park, the National Park Service announced Thursday morning.

There are also snow accumulations at St. Mary and on the east side of Logan Pass, the NPS said. 

Visitors can drive 15 miles from the West Entrance to Avalanche.
