Glacier Park’s Sun Road Reopens to Logan Pass

Park officials advise travelers that wintry conditions exist in higher elevations of Glacier National Park

By Beacon Staff

The Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park is open to vehicle traffic from the west entrance to Logan Pass, park officials announced Saturday.

Spokesperson Denise Germann encouraged visitors to be aware of wet areas, a few patches of ice and snowy conditions in the higher elevations.

Roughly six inches of snow fell in the upper hills of Glacier last week, forcing the park to close the road from Avalanche.

The east side of the road is currently closed because of road work.
