Whitefish blanks Polson and Bigfork triumphs over Troy

Glacier 49, Missoula Big Sky 13

Brady McChesney had four total touchdowns, Logan Jones and Thomas Trefney each had a pair of TDs and the top-ranked Wolfpack rolled to their sixth win of the season.

Glacier (6-0) hosts Missoula Sentinel (3-3) on Friday.

Whitefish 28, Polson 0

Luke May had two touchdowns and the Bulldog defense blanked the Pirates in a Northwestern A showdown.

Whitefish (4-2 overall, 2-0 in conference) hosts Livingston (1-5, 1-1 in Central A) on Friday.

In other Northwestern A action, Columbia Falls hosts Frenchtown (3-3, 2-0) in its homecoming game on Friday. Frenchtown blanked Libby 60-0 on Oct. 3. Columbia Falls had a bye.

Bigfork 42, Troy 13

Vinny Quirk and Jonathan Landon scored two touchdowns apiece in Bigfork’s District 7-B win over the Trojans.

The 10th-ranked Vikings (4-1 overall, 1-0 in conference) have a bye week before playing at Eureka on Oct. 17.

Helena 42, Flathead 6

The Braves scored first — a 28-yard TD catch by Keaton Krantz — but the second-ranked Bengals did the rest, limiting Flathead to 198 total yards and capturing the AA victory.

Flathead (2-4) travels to Bozeman (2-4) on Friday.
