HELENA — U.S. House candidate Ryan Zinke raised $1.9 million for his campaign in the three months between July and September.

The Whitefish Republican’s campaign says more than three-quarters of those contributions have come from out-of-state donors.

His Democratic opponent, John Lewis of Helena, raised more than $392,000 during the same period.

Both candidates are running television ads across the state with three weeks left before the Nov. 4 election to replace U.S. Rep. Steve Daines, who is leaving his House seat for a Senate run.

Zinke has more than $490,000 left in the bank while Lewis is reporting more than $261,000 cash on hand.
