HELENA — The Montana State Parks and Recreation Board has approved a range of fee increases for users of state parks.
The board adopted the two-year fee rule earlier this month and announced it Friday.
The cost of non-resident vehicle entry to state parks will go from $5 to $6, and from $3 to $4 for pedestrians, bicyclists and bus passengers.
The cost of campsites without electricity during peak season will go from $15 to $18 for residents and from $23 to $28 for nonresidents. Campsites with electricity cost $6 more for both residents and nonresidents.
There also will be cost increases for annual passes, cabin rentals, shower use and Lewis and Clark Caverns tours.
The rule will implemented over the next few months as fee signs at the parks are updated.
