The Big Sky Conference has five football teams ranked in the Top 25 of The Sports Network’s FCS poll.
Eastern Washington, Montana, Montana State and Cal Poly are also in the Top 25 of the coaches’ poll. Northern Arizona is 25th in the media poll and 26th in the coaches’ poll.
Defending national champion North Dakota State is ranked first in both polls, while Eastern Washington is ranked fifth.
Montana is ranked 11th by the media and 10th by the coaches while Montana State fell to 15th in the media poll and 16th in the coaches’ poll after its loss at Cal Poly. Cal Poly is ranked 21st in the media poll and 23rd in the coaches’ poll.
Montana is at Eastern Washington on Saturday.
In the NAIA, Carroll College holds on to its second place spot while Southern Oregon is tied for fifth and Eastern Oregon is ranked 21st.
