Volleyball Teams Vie for State Tournaments

Glacier achieves perfect conference record, claims Western AA title

Glacier achieved another perfect regular season in volleyball, going 12-0 in Western AA and earning an automatic berth to the Class AA state tournament.

The Wolfpack (23-1 overall) earned a guaranteed bid to Bozeman, Nov. 13-15 as the top seed in the West. The girls achieved a perfect conference record for the second consecutive season. The Wolfpack will play the No. 4 seed from the East at 2 p.m., Nov. 13.

Flathead (12-10, 6-6) hosts Helena (7-14, 4-8) in a playoff match to determine which team advances to state. The Bravettes play at 6 p.m., Nov. 6, and will try to qualify for state for the 12th consecutive season.

The Northwestern A Divisional Volleyball Tournament is in Libby, Nov. 7-8. Columbia Falls (12-1, 8-0) is the top seed and earns a first-round bye. No. 2 Libby (10-3, 5-3) plays No. 3 Frenchtown (7-7, 4-4) at 1 p.m., Friday. No. 4 Polson (6-7, 2-6) and No. 5 Whitefish (1-12, 1-7) play at 11 a.m., Thursday. The winner takes on Columbia Falls.

The top two teams from the divisional advance to the Class A state tournament, Nov. 13-15 in Bozeman.

The Western B Divisional Tournament is Nov. 6-8 in Ronan. Bigfork (10-6, 7-1) will try to qualify for the state tournament, Nov. 13-15 in Bozeman.
