FVCC Scholars Conference to Exhibit Student Research

Nearly 50 Flathead Valley Community College students will present their research projects

Nearly 50 Flathead Valley Community College students will present their research projects during the college’s Fall Semester Scholars Conference on Student Research Dec. 5. The event will provide participating students the opportunity to present their research, portfolios and projects to college faculty, staff and students and members of the community.

Students will deliver 30 oral presentations, and 15 research posters will be showcased during the event. Project topics will range widely in categories such as botany, chemistry, human development, diversity, international pandemics, math, natural resources, landscapes, sociology and psychology.

The event is open to the public and will take place in the Arts and Technology Building on the FVCC campus. The opening ceremony will take place at 12:15 p.m. in the large community meeting room. Individual student presentations will take place every half hour from 1 to 2:30 p.m. inside the classrooms located on the upper level of the building. The research poster exhibitions will be on display in the foyer of the Arts and Technology building from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
