The Montana Department of Transportation is seeking public comment on two proposed pathways in Kalispell.
The first proposal involves installing sidewalks on 0.6 miles of U.S. Highway 93 from Conway Drive to East Wyoming Street in Kalispell. The project would include installing new sidewalk and Americans with Disabilities Act ramps along the eastern shoulder of Highway 93 between Conway Drive and East Wyoming Street. The new sidewalk will meet ADA standards.
The project is tentatively scheduled for construction in the fall of 2015, depending on completion of all project development activities and availability of funding, according to MDT.
No new Right-of-Way or utility relocations are anticipated.
The second project involves installing a path along Three Mile Drive and improving the path along Northwest Lane in Kalispell.
The proposed project will include surveying, designing and building paths along a 0.35-mile segment of Three Mile Drive and a 0.25-mile segment of Northwest Lane. The paths would meet ADA standards.
The Three Mile Drive segment would include installing new path along the north side of Three Mile Drive from approximately 500 feet west of Garland Street to approximately 400 feet west of Meridian Road. The path would be an 8-foot-wide path west of Northwest Lane and a 5-foot-wide sidewalk east of Northwest Lane.
The Northwest Lane segment would include improvements to an existing path along the eastern shoulder of Northwest Lane from Three Mile Drive to Sinopah Street.
The project is tentatively scheduled for construction in the fall of 2015, depending on completion of all project development activities and availability of funding.
No new Right-of-Way or utility relocations are anticipated.
