HELENA — A Browning man is being named Montana’s “Treasured” Montana Artist during the 2015 legislative session.

Secretary of State Linda McCulloch announced in a news release Friday her selection of Jonathan Cadotte, a painter whose work illustrates the Blackfeet Nation in northwest Montana. Cadotte was born and raised in Browning.

Cadotte’s work will be on display January through May 2015 in the front lobby of the secretary of state’s office in the capitol building.

Cadotte is the 17th artist to be honored by McCulloch since she founded the exhibit in 2009.
