Makena Morley set a new record in the two-mile race at the Boise Indoor High School Track and Field Meet last weekend.

Morley’s time was the second fastest in the nation among high school runners as of last weekend.

Morley won by 20 seconds in a race featuring many of the best prep runners from the West. The meet featured athletes from 10 states.

Morley’s sister, Bryn, placed second in the girls one-mile race. The freshman from Bigfork clocked 5:06.17. The winner, Lindsey Bradley, crossed the finish line in 5:04.21.

The girls’ brother, Logan, placed 11th in the boys one-mile race, crossing the finish in 4:29.58.
