Lana Berg scored 13 points, Miranda Campbell had nine and the Bigfork Valkyries rallied past Missoula Loyola 44-36 in the semifinal round of the Western B Divisional basketball tournament on Thursday night at Flathead High School.
Bigfork outscored Loyola 17-8 in the fourth quarter to advance to Friday night’s divisional championship game against Plains (18-4).
Plains edged Ronan 42-40 on Thursday.
The championship game, which will feature a rematch of the District 7B title game last week, is at 9:15 p.m., Friday.
Marissa Hiza chipped in eight points for Bigfork (18-4) and Matti MacAnally and Katie Thomas each scored five apiece.
Thompson Falls plays Ronan at 11:20 a.m., Friday in loser-out action and Loyola takes on Deer Lodge at 1 p.m. The consolation game is at 7:30 p.m.
Boys
In first-round action in the boys tournament, Missoula Loyola cruised past Plains 70-46. Danner Linhart and Braden Burke each scored 10 points to pace the Rams (18-3).
Deer Lodge eked out a 62-60 win over Thompson Falls in the final first-round game. Jacob Simpson scored 20 points to lead the Wardens (12-9).
Loyola and Deer Lodge square off in the semifinals at 5:45 p.m., Friday.
Bigfork plays Florence in the other semifinal game, at 4 p.m.
The winners advance to the championship game on Saturday at 8:45 p.m.
Ronan played Eureka in loser-out action at 8 a.m. Friday and Plains took on Thompson Falls at 9:40 a.m.
