The Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League have signed former Montana quarterback Jordan Johnson.
The team announced the signing on Thursday.
In his career at Montana, Johnson passed for over 8,615 yards and 78 touchdowns and had six rushing touchdowns.
The Redblacks current roster lists five other quarterbacks, including Brock Jensen, who led North Dakota State to three consecutive FCS national championships.
General manager Marcel Desjardins says it’s likely all six quarterbacks, including presumed starter Henry Burris, would be in Ottawa for the spring mini-camp in late April. Training camp starts on May 31.
